Deep guillochage produces the striking geometric form of the Caran d'Ache 'Cubes' design from their prestigious Hexagonal collection. Reproduced on all six faces of the hexagonal form, this contemporary geometric design results in a writing instrument which with its crisp lines and chamfered edges, is very hard to ignore.
Each piece is silver plated and then rhodium coated. Rhodium is a rare metal from the platinum family and is about twice as expensive as gold. It is extremely hard, but more importantly, it does not oxidise and will not tarnish, so that the multiple facets of each writing instrument will continue to reflect the light and it will maintain it's beautiful appearance.
The Cubes range is available as fountain pen, rollerball pen, ballpoint pen and mechanical pencil. The fountain pen comes with an 18K nib and is available in broad, medium and fine nib widths. The mechanisms of the ballpoint pen and mechanical pencil ensure smooth, reliable operation, as you would expect from Swiss precision engineering.
