Shipping & Returns - USA


Office closed for UK Holiday - 29 May


Our office will be closed on Monday 29 May for the UK public holiday.  All orders received after 11:00am (EST) Friday 26 May will be processed on Tuesday 30 May.  Please note this may also cause a slight delay on items already in transit as no mail or courier operations will be carried out in the UK on 29 May.


International Shipments Service Update

Please note: Following IT Issues caused by a cyber attach in February on Royal Mail's international service hub, Airmail services may take slightly longer than usual. As always, for urgent / time sensitive orders please consider using FedEx services.

Shipments for delivery within the UK are operating normally.


Free shipping to the USA is available from $150*


We offer several shipping options to the US depending on the value, size and weight of the order - relevant options are displayed in the cart as items are added.

For a firm indication of the available shipping services and costs for an order, please add items to the cart (no login is required).

For urgent / time sensitive orders we recommend using FedEx International Priority.



Overview of shipping services

Airmail - an untracked economy airmail service ideal for low value orders when speed and tracking are not a priority - delivery aim 5 to 7 business days (not time guaranteed). N.B. Claims for non-delivery cannot be processed by the postal services for 90 days.

International Tracked Airmail - an airmail service with tracking and priority handling, ideal for peace of mind - delivery aim 5 to 7 business days (not time guaranteed).

FedEx International Priority - premium courier service with point-to-point tracking and notifications. Normally delivered next business day throughout the US.

FedEx International Priority Express - premium courier service with point-to-point tracking and notifications. Delivery in the morning, normally next the business day throughout the US.

FedEx International Economy - economy courier service with point-to-point tracking and notifications - delivery aim 3 business days (not time guaranteed).

FedEx services also offer flexible shipping options for most US destinations e.g. hold delivery / deliver to a local service point etc.


* Free delivery on orders over $150 is via a Tracked Airmail service.  Orders weighing over 2kg (which are rare) are not eligible for free shipping, as they are too heavy to ship via Airmail Services - delivery options are given at the cart in this instance (if possible, you may split your order over several shipments if you prefer).


It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure that the delivery address is secure and that only authorized persons will be available to accept the delivery. The Pen Company can accept no responsibility for deliveries once they are successfully delivered.


You will receive an e-mail at the time of dispatch advising you that your order has been shipped and the amount that your credit/debit card has been debited.


Taxes and duties

All orders below $800 do not incur any duties or fees on import to the US. Orders over $800 will incur import duty - normally only a few % of the total order value - this will be collected by the courier on behalf of the US government prior to delivery. If you require further information regarding a prospective order over $800 or would like to pay this in advance of shipping (to speed-up transit time), please contact us.


Dispatch time

Orders received for items marked in stock are shipped the same business day if received by 12:00 EST.

For orders containing both in stock and out-of-stock items, we will usually wait for all items to become available prior to shipping the order. If the bulk of the order is in stock, on occasion, we may ship this portion of the order first, with any remaining item(s) sent to follow later, at no additional charge to the customer.


I would like to ship to an address outside the USA

For US customers requiring shipping options to countries outside the United States we offer shipping to selected countries - please select the required destination country of the shipping address (this can be done in the cart or in the ApplePay / GPay cart flow).  Shipping options relevant to the destination country will then be displayed.

For shipping addresses within the UK, all taxes are included in the purchase price. However, for other countries import fees may apply (collected by the delivery service prior to delivery), if you require further information on delivery outside of the US and UK, please contact us.



Product Availability

The availability of a product is listed on the product page by the “Add to cart” button:


Items which are shown as available to pre-order, such as the Paperblanks planners, have been ordered from our supplier but are not due to be delivered to us until the date indicated.


Pre-order items can be purchased as usual from our site. Payment will be authorized, but no funds will be taken from your account until we ship the item to you. If in the meantime, your card authorization has expired (e.g. passed 'valid to' date), we will contact you with the option to update your current card details. Pre-order items will be shipped as soon as we receive stock.

Available now:

Items shown as 'Available: Now' will normally be shipped the same day if the order is received before 12:00 EST Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Orders received after 12:00 EST, at weekends, or during public holidays, will be shipped the next working day.

Available 2 to 3 days:

Items shown as 'Available: 2 to 3 days' will normally be shipped within 3 business days.

Available 4 to 7 days:

Items shown as 'Available: 4 to 7 days' will normally be shipped within 7 business days.

Available 7 to 14 days:

Items shown as 'Available: 7 to 14 days' will normally be shipped within 14 business days.


These lead times are based on our experience and reflect the time we would reasonably expect to receive replacement stock from our suppliers. However, unforeseen circumstances such as delays through Customs, weather conditions, airport delays, or manufacturing problems, can mean that the lead times for some items will exceed the time given. We will contact you in the event of a protracted delay

Temporarily Unavailable:

Items which are shown as 'Temporarily unavailable' are items which we normally keep in stock, but for which we haven't been able to determine a delivery date. These items can still be ordered, but won't be shipped until we receive the stock.

Contact us for availability:

These items (usually limited editions), are to special order, or the manufacturer is experiencing production delays - email us using the form provided on the item page and we will advise you of the current availability.


Discontinued items are no longer in production, we are therefore unable to supply the product.




If during the fourteen days after delivery, you decide for any reason that you wish to return the goods, you may do so for a full refund* of the purchase price of the goods. *Please note, in the case of a large/bulk order of items, that are ordered specifically from a manufacturer/supplier to fulfill a customer order, a restocking fee may apply or return may not be possible.

All items must be returned complete and in an unused condition with presentation box where appropriate and original packaging. Fountain pens must be returned empty and with the original ink/cartridge(s). Any damage to goods or presentation boxes due to fountain pen leakage or other cause, or in-complete returns, will be charged for.

Bespoke products such as those that have been engraved or otherwise altered at the request of the customer are not returnable unless they have been engraved or altered other than as directed by the customer, or are faulty.

Failure to receive goods

In the event that a customer fails to make appropriate arrangements with USPS or other carrier to receive or collect the goods and as a result they are returned to us, we will refund the customer’s account with the value of the goods returned, less our delivery expenses. Bespoke products such as those that have been engraved or otherwise altered at the request of the customer are not returnable.

No payment will be taken from credit/debit cards until orders are shipped.
