Stop The Press! New Pen Writes Using Chocolate
With the advent of the 3D pen a few years ago, it’s no real surprise to find that someone has gone and invented a pen that lets you write in one of the best things in the world – chocolate.
The pen, designed for children, lets you draw in chocolate when you press a button on the side. Created by Skyrocket, the Candy Craft chocolate pen, although bulky, can store a fair amount of chocolate within its chamber, which is then heated when the pen is in use.
Although the pen can be used for creative projects, the squiggles, words, butterflies and stars can be placed on top of cakes and desserts as well as being eaten on their own.
Priced at around $30, the pen uses a built-in electric motor and what’s more, there will be a variety of colours and flavours available, so you don’t have to stick with good old chocolate!
But children can be quite creative, so what happens if a child decides to eat the chocolate directly from pen to mouth?
With a little parental guidance, hopefully that won’t happen so much, but it is understood that the chocolate is not heated to a degree that will harm a child if he or she decides to consume the chocolate early.
Sadly however, the pen will not be available in the UK until autumn 2015, but if you’re after something slightly different, the company also offers the ever imaginative poo dough moulds! The toy enables people to pull off realistic pranks on their friends and family.
With a five star rating on Amazon.com, there’s possibly no better way to spend your money for April Fools. That said, not everyone is happy with the product with one Amazon reviewer writing:
“I am sorry but this is disgusting. I don’t see why anyone would buy this for their child or to even use it for a joke. What is funny about bodily secretions? This ranks with Doggie Doo…what craziness will they come up with next?”
I suppose you can’t please everyone! But I am definitely going to be trying out the chocolate pen as soon as it’s available, being a lover of stationery with a sweet tooth.
